So you’ve loaded Linux and it comes with an excellent music player, Exaile. Unfortunately, when you scan the directory where you have all of your music, it crashes. You try again and it fails again. Start up Exaile and check the version (Help->About). If the version is less than 0.2.9, then you need to upgrade it.
I’m running Ubuntu 7.04 (Feisty) and the lastest version in the standard repositories is Exaile 0.2.8. Now, the Exaile developers have set up their own repository for Ubuntu 🙂 so let’s use that:
Users of Ubuntu Feisty can optionally use this repository. Add this line to your /etc/apt/sources.listdeb http://download.tuxfamily.org/syzygy42 feisty exaile
and then type the following:wget http://download.tuxfamily.org/syzygy42/8434D43A.gpg sudo apt-key add 8434D43A.gpg sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install exaile
