Look no more, as a simple driver option in your /etc/X11/xorg.conf needs to be added to the Device Section: Option “AddARGBGLXVisuals” “True” Now your applications running in VMware Unity mode won’t jump all over the place! The option doesn’t appear to be needed for single monitor setups.

Using VMware vCenter Converter and getting a SQL_CANTOPEN or similar error? Make sure your backup (Carbonite in my case) is disabled else it may try to backup the database for the converter and lock the files from being written to. Anyone know where VMware keeps this database?
